Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. Amy Smart was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. She began her acting career at the age of 16 in her debut in the TV production Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for the role she wanted for her in Starship Troopers. The transition was difficult for Amy since she needed change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't considered great actors and so tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy did not give up. Her first big roles were in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. After a few years, Amy took the leap to more prominent roles. Amy was in the 2005 love story Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. It was a huge film at the box office and Amy has finally achieved the success she'd been trying for for more than a decade. She continued with important films, including the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was an adored recurring character.
